Why Teaching…

I am passionate about our students and their education. I am a product of Livermore schools and am looking forward to using the skills and education I have gained to inspire and support a new generation of students. I have been commended for my ability to redirect students exhibiting behavioral problems as well as students with learning challenges and special needs. It is a privilege to be able to impact students and children throughout California whether it is in the classroom or in our community. I am passionate about the success and well-being of our students and will strive to support them in any ways I can. Growing up and being a member of the LGBTQ+ community came with challenges when learning how to navigate the world and my school community. I am proud of who I am and understand the importance of students seeing themselves represented and feeling accepted for who they are no matter what.

I believe in the impact teachers have in our communities and the importance of teaching through the lense of restorative justice. In a classroom, I have the power to offer equal access to both tools and opportunities for ALL students.
